Himalayan Cycling Expedition Manali - Leh - Khardung La

Day-1- Reporting at Manali Base Camp

Day-2- Acclimatization Ride & Flag Hoisting 

Day-3- Manali to Sissu (44.5 kms) 2754 mtrs. 

Day-4- Sishu to Jispa (53 kms) (1231 mtrs).

Day-5- Jispa to Zing Zing Bar (39 kms) 1295 mtrs. 

Day-6- Zing Zing Bar to Sarchu Plains cross Baralacha-la (16,059 ft) (41 kms) 738 mts.

Day-7- Sarchu Plains to Whisky Nala - cross ghata loops & Naki-la (15748 ft) (54 kms)  1403 mts. 

Day-8- Whisky Nala - Pang - Debring cross Lachung-la (16732 ft)

(74 Kms) 890 mts. 

Day-9- Debring - Rumtse (Gaya) cross Tanglang-la (17552 ft)

(55 kms.) 780 mts. 

Day-10- Rumste to Leh  (73 kms) 536 mts.  

Day 11- Leh - Khardung-la (17582 ft) - Leh (80 kms) 1859 mts.

Day-12- Check out after breakfast.

1. This program is only for experienced cyclists.

2. Without a Medical fitness Certificate  the registration cannot be claimed as confirmed. 

 3. Expedition Officials have full rights to take decisions based on the risk to health and safety and to stop any rider from riding further.

4. This is a High-Altitude Ride and comes with a increased risk to ones health. any health issue related to high altitude that may require evacuation, participant to take full responsibility of expenses incurred.

 5. Participants to enter this event entirely at their own risk and accept without exception full and complete liability for all and any risks and will not hold responsible nor make claims against Life's A Pitch LLP, any of the participants or organizer, its Owners, Sponsors, agents or Staff for any loss, damage or injury however caused in relation to participation in this event. 

6.  Participants are expected to behave cordially with each other and the staff. Any misbehavior/harassment will be sent back midway without any refund. 

   7. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program. 

8.  Participants to bring their original Photo ID proof as it will be required at various check posts during the program.  

9. Traffic, road laws, Rules & regulations of the land to be complied with.

10. Participants to wear a helmet at all times during the ride and follow all safety rules. 

11. In case participant is unable to join the expedition due to any reason, if cancellation is made 15 days before the reporting date of the expedition, 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees will be given which will be valid till December 2023.(Difference amount to be paid by the participant).

12. If cancellation is made 7 days before the reporting date of the expedition then 50% of the total cost will be charged as cancellation fees, after that no request for transfer or refund or postponement will be considered. No refund will be applicable for cancellation of a seat. 100% of total expedition cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

13. Request for cancellation or postponement must be received by us by email only.

14. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any other circumstance, including cancellation of the Expedition in the current situation of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

  15. Cycles given are to be kept safe. Any damage/theft of cycles due to negligence the cost will be borne by the participant. 

  16. Participation will be cancelled without refund for not reporting on the check-in date & not riding the mandatory acclimatization ride.    

17. Life's A Pitch LLP reserves the right to cancel the expedition due to low participation. The amount will be refunded after deducting the payment gateway charges.  

18. This is a long distance expedition and currently there are no travel restrictions. However, if a situation arises, travel restrictions are applied or any other scenario requires the event to be cancelled or postponed, Registration fees will not be refunded, nor transferred to any other participant, but may be rolled over for the next event (Difference amount to be paid by the participant).   

19. Life's A Pitch LLP reserves the right to refuse or cancel registration, and will refund the registration fees after deductions for Payment Gateway Process.

20. Staying in other than Life's A Pitch LLP Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the Expedition.

 21. The Group Insurance cover is for accidental death or permanent disability only. Participants are advised to take personal insurance cover for the expedition.  

  22. Any deviation from the set route of the expedition is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.   

23. The route and Schedule of the programme may change without prior notice based on the local condition.

Note: Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning into the expedition for the safety.  Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, Life's A Pitch LLP cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and any other unforeseen eventualities. 

 This is a High risk Adventure programme involving cycling in the Himalayan Mountain passes with the following risk factors: High Altitude sickness, fall during cycling leading to major/minor injuries, unforeseen events like Landslides, cloudbursts, storms & rains. Life's A Pitch LLP will provide adequate assistance in the above circumstances but cannot be held responsible for any risk mentioned or not mentioned above
